In the past thirty years,
pastoral counseling has emerged as a unique form of
psychotherapy that complements social science.
This path encourages all people to discover their meaningful
strengths and natural talents. It combines counseling
practice and theory with ministry. Pastoral counseling
is a
Compassionate Journey, exploring and integrating
lifestyle and behavior. Embarking on this journey
indicates great strength and faith. Cindy’s clients are
encouraged to incorporate their values, faith, and
rituals into the healing process, and into their lives.
This creates seasons of growth academically,
emotionally, and spiritually.
Loyola graduates are
clinically prepared to minister to the ministers, and to
all who are in the helping, serving, and caring
professions. Pastoral Counseling is an available presence so others can
come and experience a gentle place to lay their
burdens. Caring for the soul is supportive and
compassionate as individuals pause to become aware of
their own strengths through faith, community, and work.
Many times the process uncovers the past and reworks the
old patterns in new ways, which meet our present needs,
and enables life to blossom anew. Pastoral counseling
integrates sound theology with contemporary counseling
theory and clinical psychology practice. |
